Job Description This position makes the acquisition of materials with the group supply chain, operations, engineering, manufacturing, quality, to ensure the arrival of the materials most effectively maximize the value of each purchase in achieving the goals. • Participate in development of commodity strategy for required commodities. This includes participation in supplier classifications based upon standard rating process, development of five year strategic road maps to successfully execute the strategy (including capital required, cost out, inflation, currency and risk). • Locate and develop new suppliers to improve the capability of Eaton's supply base. • Decide/participate in supplier selection for material/component requirements. • Work with all other departments to assure Eaton's customer approval on a timely basis. • Complete negotiations with suppliers regarding price, terms, quality, tooling, etc. • Develop and negotiate supply agreements when needed. • Negotiate consignment and/or Kanban set up with supply base to assist with inventory days on hand. • Participate in the activities (i.e., supplier approval process, specification/print development when necessary, trials, etc.) during supplier start-up. • Coordinate cost estimating and design parameters for new projects and products. • Develop and maintain on-going ethical supplier relationships, which foster a desire to furnish new ideas, and promote cooperation with Eaton on an on-going basis. • Coordinate the exchange of technical information regarding product and product processing with adequate safeguards for confidentiality. • Negotiate resolution (as required) of Eaton claims (i.e., cost, time, rework, scrap, and labor, sorting charges) with suppliers regarding non-conforming material. • Actively participate in teams working towards continuous process improvements, elimination of waste, simultaneous engineering, and advanced product quality planning. • Develop productive relationships with others in Supply Chain Management, mentoring, teaching and training. • Comply with Eaton standardize SCM process and policies both locally and at the corporate level.

Job Qualifications
/Educational Requirements • Experience in customer orders fulfillment, planning and buying in a manufacturing environment. • Inventory management experience. • Ability to communicate with local and international colleagues and suppliers. • Speak and write fluent English. • Proficient with basic excel, words, power point, etc. • Working experience with MRP/ERP system. • BS Degree in BA or Engineering. • 3 years minimum experience in Materials/Logistics. • PC skills required. Should be proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook. • Experience in forecasting. • Exercise strong analytical skills. • Strong mathematical skills. • Perform special projects as assigned. • Maintain and promote progressive Human Resources guidelines amongst team. • Ability to work well with others. • Knowledge of Routings, Processes, and Bills of Materials. • Has experience in materials planning, demand planning, and scheduling. • Possesses excellent problem-solving skills in complex and demanding situations that undergo continuous priority changes. • Negotiation skills • Project Management
