Job Description This position is responsible to manage the activities within the finance function for Power Distribution and Control division. Reports directly to General Manager, Power Distribution and Control division and matrix reports to the Financial VP, Electrical APAC. The Controller is responsible for all financial and planning matters within the division.
A. Works closely with the company management as business partner, especially the General Manager. Provide value added analysis, financial counsel and make appropriate recommendations to support the company’s strategic direction and operational decision making process.
B. Safeguards the company assets and ensure integrity of the financial processes and reporting by implementing appropriate internal controls within the organization, also including ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance on all locations.
C. Be responsible for training and building up a talented financial organization.
D. Assures existence and competency of financial systems and standardized procedures to comply with US GAAP and Eaton corporate policies to ensure the integrity of both US financial reporting and local statutory local reporting.
E. Plays an active role in the strategic and profit planning processes and is expected to provide accurate and meaningful financial information to all members of the management team in order to ensure the organization achieve its financial objectives.
F. Takes a proactive responsibility to drive the business growth not only meeting the profit plan commitment but also continuously driving for improvement and striving for superior performance including implementing, monitoring and reporting productivity improvement and cost out programs.
G. Be responsible for monthly closing of general ledger and ensure timely and accurately preparing internal financial and corporate reporting.
H. Be responsible for monthly forecasting process to ensure that proper processes are in place for accurate forecasting of both income statement and balance sheet items especially working capital management and capital investment required.
I. Be responsible to oversee credit and collection and to ensure that proper credit policies are enforced throughout the organization and that timely collections are made from customers.
J. Interfaces with external auditors to ensure that all statutory requirements are met and tax returns are filed in accordance with applicable laws and statutes.
K. Works closely with the regional controller to ensure that fiduciary responsibilities are being fulfilled and to provide updates on various key business measures
L. Has supervisory role over implementation of oracle and SAP
M. Requires to participate in financial due diligent
N. Establishes and maintains local banking relationships (including borrowing) and relationships through Corporate Finance
O. Ensures that all the CARs are financially justified and present for senior management’s approval
P. Establishes and maintains customs, duty and VAT process
Q. Ensures appropriate application of cost accounting / management for effective decision making and product costing.
R. Supervises plant controller provide Accurate, timely issuance of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports accurate, timely submission.
Job Qualifications
/Educational Requirements • Excellent knowledge of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in handling an ERP system (MRP-II) in a manufacturing environment
• Interpersonal communication skill
• Presentation / Negotiation skill
• An active, forward-looking person with high aspiration for his/her career.
• Attention to details (especially in numbers), while demonstrating good business acumen as well.
• excellent communication skill that allows him/her to exchange relevant information with these functions.
• must not be afraid of getting his/her hands dirty with hands-on attitude towards his/her assignment, while delegating necessary tasks to his/her reports to ensure productive output.
• Experience working and managing in high-performance, quality-oriented, team-based workplaces.
• Experience and ability in managing, training, and developing staff to prepare them for advancement.
• Experience traveling, and willingness to travel overseas for training and other business purposes.
• Demonstrated record of stability and commitment in previous work experience.
• Desire to learn new technical knowledge and management approaches.
• High personal integrity and strong commitment to ethical behavior.
