Title Organizational Development Manager-Division
Job Description Eaton Corporation's Aerospace Group located in Jackson, Michigan has an opening for a Manager, Organization Development. In partnership with the Conveyance Systems Division functional leaders, this position is responsible for identifying, developing and deploying business-driven talent management strategies designed to attract, manage, develop, motivate and retain key people while creating a high-performance, sustainable organization capable of achieving our strategic objectives and action plans. Critical for success in this role is the ability to partner with the division leadership team to: Develop and deploy high-impact integrated talent management processes by talent segments: talent strategy and planning, talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, leadership development and career and succession management to enable achievement our strategic objectives and action plans Conduct strategic workforce planning as a business-driven process that determines the talent needs by key talent segments and critical positions now and in the future including what talent are available to meet those needs Identify critical talent pools and high potentials that drive transformational changes and new initiatives Mitigate talent risk by identifying and recommending strategies and action plans to close performance gaps tied to the business-driven top talent challenges Drive performance management (APEX) as a set of management practices that establishes measurable goal setting and alignment, development planning, tracking progress, coaching and calibrating evaluation of achievement and attainment by individual to our strategic objectives and action plans Develop and deploy a range of learning and developmental experiences that build necessary knowledge, skills and competencies and values required for innovation and business growth Develop, deploy and enhance leadership development programs and framework to ensure depth, breadth and diversity in the leadership pipeline Identify successors for critical positions based on attributes such as performance accomplishments, past experience, career interests/path, location preferences and skills and competencies Identify successors and monitor succession planning effectiveness for critical positions Identify career plans and internal development activities that help move people into the most critical needed positions Develop and deploy tools to create high levels of employee engagement and leadership effectiveness Develop and deploy tools to identify flight risk and ensure retention of top performers and key skills Assist in the identification and tracking of measurements and analytics to determine overall effectiveness and financial impact of the talent management strategies and initiatives Deploy change management and program management that allows focus on activities that drive the organizational strategy and initiatives Collaborate with the Aerospace Group organization development leader to ensure alignment with other talent management/organizational effectiveness initiatives
Job Qualifications
/Educational Requirements Master degree in human resources, business or organizational development or related field required Minimum of 10 years experience in a leadership role in business, HR or related activity including development and deployment of talent management/organizational effectiveness strategies tied to business strategy Experience developing and deploying, global, large scale change management initiatives Able to work effectively in highly-matrixed environment Excellent analytical, trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills Strong business acumen and diverse business perspective Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and independently with individuals at various levels including the senior leadership team Ability to think logically and strategically Strong communication skills, written, oral and listening skills Experience in a values-based company, committed to “Doing Business Right” Experience in a manufacturing organization is preferred
